the next month i go in my 40's, i'm divorced and after long i've now a new affair that's making me happy again. we're old enough to wish a baby and don't want to risk any undesired pregnancy, so i want to look into a birth control method that makes me carefree and safe enough when i've sex. i know the best is taking the pill but since young i've an intolerance and i can't take it. with my ex husband we'd withdrawal and he pulled out before he come. This worked but we had not sex so often (about once a week) and moreover just one time, now it's different i've sex twice a more a week and often more than one session. till now all worked well but i know we can't be forever lucky, we both dislike condom especially at our age and wish to have a deep and full contact. i fear to go under the tubal ligation, undergoing surgery scares me a bit and i would like to know more about other BC methods right for my age that allow me a carefree and deep sex and if possible have my man come inside me too. i heard about the today sponge, what is it? how is it working? does it allow deep sex?
i should appreciate your help and advices based on experience.

There is a new permanent birth control method called Essure that does not involve surgery. You have two coils inserted into your fallopian tubes throught the vagina. The coils cause the tubes block so that eggs can no longer pass through.
