Hi Guys,
Listen I have a problem, and I was wondering if any of you could help me.
One of my closest friends has just found out she is pregnant, she is really stressed and really scared and Im scared for her too, you see she is a high risk, and has a long list of medical problems...the thing is she wants to have the baby and I know i should stand by her and be supportive, but surely not of something that could potencilly kill her right????
She has had liver failure and heart stuff and Im pretty sure if she goes through with this it will be for the worse...the trouble is, I dont know of any way she could have it and survive...oh I dont know what Im saying...Im sorry, its just she's so sad and alll her so called friends have abandonded her and I find myself on my own in this.
Need advice please.
Thanks

If she is getting good medical care, than she should be ok. Here in the states, we have special OB/GYNS that specialize in high-risk pregnancies. Don't know if you do over there or not, but if you do, I would suggest one to her.

Try and support her. I know it will be difficult for you watching your friend go through this but I am sure she has thought through everything.
I'm sure she will have specialist care (they do provide this for high-risk pregnancies), she will get alot of help and I'm sure she'll be ok. |

You know man, there aren't too many options here. Either you're anti-abortion or pro-choice. If you're pro-choice, then the CHOICE has to be hers. If she chooses to have the baby and face the risk, that's her CHOICE. I would support her in her decision. I would not suggest abortion if she has CHOSEN otherwise. Respect her choice.

Also recovery from a C-section takes longe than natural birth, but with all the problems she has, it might be best. Then she would have to go through pushing, many contractions, etc. All of those things would raise her heart beat.

Sound like you are a good friend. The best you can do is to be there for her, listen and let her know you are there for her. Leave the advice to the doctors.
