Skinny Girls

Postby sweetiepie on Mon Aug 09, 2004 6:24 am

Ok I know a long time ago guys used to love really skinny girls.....but now prefer curvy ones....REALLY curvy ones. Now everywhere I look guys are talking about thick girls. I am VERY skinny and I was wondering if there are any guys that still like skinny girls....I am very insecure about it but every time I try to find help in magazine, it just talks about helping CURVY women.....no one thinks that maybe skinny girls have insecurities too. So anyone like skinny girls?

Personally i like skinny girls, but not bony ones. However, just as girls come in all shapes and sizes, so you will find that men are just as variable when it comes to the body shapes they like. Don't feel too insecure, there are bound to be plenty of men out there for you who find your skinnyness a turn-on.

Sweetipie i really understand what you mean for most of my life i was soooo skinny and not through choice. I even tried everything to put on weight but now i am older i have a good figure without trying. So don't despair being skinny is'nt a problem, just be happy with who you are! :)

I was like you Janey. Extra skinny as a teen and a real late bloomer. No boys liked me and I was a bit jealous of my more developed friends who got all the guys. Now that I'm older I have more of a figure and I work out a lot so I've turned my skinniness into muscle.

Sweetiepie, try not to worry about it too much. There are lots of guys who like us skinny girls just as there are lots that like the curvy ones. If you're insecure about your body it'll show. Love who you are and love the body you're in and you'll radiate sexiness no matter what size you are!

I finally found a message board where people have the same issues *sigh of relief* I am 19 and wonder if I will ever fill out. I haven't gained weight in 5 years and I've tried!

One time I was taking the trash out at work and a guy yelled out, holy S*** woman, eat some meat! you're way too skinny :(

It's really disheartening when I hear comments like that, and Ive heard it from friends/family/teachers too. I just needed to vent :(

When I was a teen I was sunning on the beach in a bikini and this guy went by and commented on how my ribcage stuck out more than my boobs! I was so embarassed!

I've been skinny all my life but I'm not as bony anymore. I work out a lot and now I've got lots of muscle tone which makes a huge difference. I've got a bit more body fat in the right places now that I'm in my late 30s but with working out I've been able to maintain a very athletic looking figure. I'll never be curvy so there's no point in trying. Instead I go for the toned look and I now get compliments on my body all the time.

One of my co-workers calls me Karen Carpenter and tells me I look anorexic tho. It's just a joke of course and I don't let it get to me. I know I look good and I've worked really hard to get this toned. Learn to love your body and you'll be much happier about it. :D

btw, I'm the same weight now as I was in my early 20s. I just don't gain weight no matter what I eat. BUT as you get older things will 'fill out'. As I said, I'll never be curvy but at least I don't have the body of a 16 yr old boy anymore!!

To answer the question, yes I do like skinny women.

Sweetiepie, you make a lot of posts being unsure of your body, I bet, 10 - 1 odds, you're simply enchanting. I admire you for being able to ask for help from our humble little internet community :). Magazines tend to put doubt in everyones minds, supermodels don't even think they are good looking when they read them (hehe thank you playboy centerfold interviews!). Accept who you are, you sound like you've got a great personallity, but just lack the confidence. Trust in who you are, you'll find a great guy who accepts that. :) confidence is extremely attractive (works for men and women both ways).

Keep fighting the good fight!

I am 31 and weight 7 stone. The heaviest Ive ever been is 8. No matter what I do I cant gain weight. My friend on holiday recently told me I looked anorexic in the trousers I was wearing. Until then I had felt good in them, now I never wear them! People think its ok to call you skinny when they wouldnt dream of calling an overweight person "fat" yet it knocks my confidence just as much. I never wear shorts or skirts because my legs are like 2 bits of string with knots in the middle. I guess ultimately I would rather be thin than overweight for the health implications however I am probably more self conscious than most people I know that do carry that extra bit of weight, afterall flesh is sexy and I lack it in abundance!

That's very true and I never thought of it like that. I'll bet if I was fat no one would call me Mamma Cass and tell me I'm obese. How come anorexic Karen Carpenter is ok then? :?

I just shrug it off...water off a skinny duck's back...but I can understand why it might really bother some people. If you can't gain weight I really do suggest working out. You may have a hard time gaining body fat but I can guarantee that building muscle tone will be easy peasy! It'll take no time before you see lots of definition in your muscles since you don't have that layer of fat getting in the way and people will be amazed at how quickly you progress. Eat lots of carbs (good carbs not empty ones) and lots of protein and transform your skinny body into a hard body. It takes work but it's really worth it!

btw, what's a stone? Is it 14 lbs? I seem to recall reading that somewhere.
