going bald!!

please help...i have been having extensions in for some time<human>and my hairdresser changed the bonding method about 6months ago... instead of glue she has used a liquid that dries quite rubbery...now my hair is so thin and has bald patches all over.i find that i am having 2 put more extensions in to cover up the bald patches...taking the rest of the hair out would be unadvisable as ther isnt very much of my own hair left....and im worried if removing will cause further damage...any advise?
