hiya all, just wondered if anyone could tell me, you know this 'traditional' rule about the engagement ring being like a months wages or three months wages or whatever, what is the traditional rule? I'm not getting engaged or anything i am literally just curious lol

Okay the old rule of thumb was the engagement ring should cost One months wages/ salary.

My partner and I when we got engaged didn't have much money, so we are going to have extra money spent on our wedding rings
