What to write on a b-day card...

Ok, this is kinda ridiculous, but anyway. I was wondering what would be something good to write on a b-day card. It's for a friend, and since it's like the first b-day card I've written for someone outside of my family, I really don't know what to write... so, just tell me more or less what would be a good idea. Thank you.

haha funny this should come up, twas my friends 18th last week she told me in study, when i was sitting beside her i ripped a card bourdy kind of paper out of my notepad, folded it in half, Drew 2 balloons on the left side, and a note saying happy birthday and all that on the right. Then below the note i spent about an hour of study drawing a Bar with a party going on in it with my friend past out drunk on the floor. With an arrow pointing to her on the floor saying "Amy during her 18th birthday party".

She told me it was the best card she got and she put it above her fireplace and it was so sweet of me to do it for her lol. It wasnt anything special either it was just white on the inside and blue on the outside with some designs on it since it was from my notepad. But i guess she thought it was sweet cause it was that i made it for her maybe. So maybe you can do something like that, if not theres nothing wrong with just writing "have a great birthday and i hope you enjoy yourself. Love <insert your name here>
