I decided previously to stop posting to this thread because of the trollish behavior of some unidentified guest and self-appointed pedant.
But I thought I should not leave the subject where I had left off, so I am returning to this thread simply to report that everything did work out quite nicely between my girlfriend and her roomie and myself.

I think you need to learn to understand the difference between criticism and trollism.Not everyone who has strong and different opinions(to yours) is a troll !

That's true. But someone whose posts repeatedly concentrate on scolding one or more participants, rather than on discussing the stated topic, is either a scold or a troll or both.
The value of your posts to others is clearly outweighed by the smug amusement they provide to you.
