My family have just come in to money and it is causing all sort of problems, my aunt died and left a large amount of money but never specified who shoud get what but it was just to be divided between the family, now everyone is at everyones throat saying youve had more that me but I visited her the most and she told me that i could have her diamond ring, all hell has let lose. I just wish she had made a proper will and then it wouldnt have been left to us to fight it out.

dont know about the money but on possessions get each family member to write down the one single item they would like to have, the one item should be the one which reminds that person of your aunt no the most valuable Cash wise......

You may struggle with the ring though,because its become a main want by lots of you

Maybe the first thing you should do is all sit down and remember this aunt was a part of your family, not somebody whose memory can be ripped to pieces with arguments because one person got more that another.........

Quick suggestion for the ring, maybe it should go to the eldest daughter or granddaughter and passed down (not sold) use it as an heirloom just dont forget to insure it

Families are a pain in the arse, and like the old saying you can choose your friends but not your family ....your stuck with those
