Just received an email off her saying she is hurt that I'm not contacting her as much and may not do so in the future.

Also, she feels I've let her daughter down, although she is not my responsibilty.

What is haunting me and making me feel so guilty is the fact that she is still using the 'I don't know how to tell my daughter she may never see you again' line.

I am correct in saying it is emotional blackmail, right?

She has told me she expects I may not contact her again. Should I break contact now, although I'll feel rotten/guilty?

After all, I hardly know her and met her just before Christmas.
