He is quoted by the Eonline! website as saying: "I heard he got married, then I heard he got engaged. I don't have a clue.
"The couple just started dating. Even my daughters don't know what's going on."
The bride-to-be was crowned Miss Teen USA in 2003, but she was later stripped of her title after posing nude for Playboy.
Carter will soon be seen in E! reality show 'House of Carters', with his brother Nick and three sisters.
