The Ting Tings' singer Katie White told her record label to "f**k off" for suggesting she pose naked.
The 'Shut Up and Let Me Go' singer claims she was horrified when her former label Mercury asked her to consider taking her clothes off to promote her music.
White said: "I had gone to all the effort of making a look book of all my favourite art and photographs, just to show them what I'm about. They didn't even look at it, just pushed it to one side and asked if I was prepared to take my kit off for men's magazines.
"I was like Aaargh! There's plenty of girls who can do that, and they've got bigger boobs and better faces. I could never do that in a million years. So I told them to f**k off."
The Ting Tings - then known as Dear Eskiimo - parted ways with the Mercury label after a fruitless year.
After promoting their music on their own - without a label - they started to receive major attention. In May, their hard work paid off when they reached the number one spot in the UK singles chart with 'That's Not My Name'.
The Ting Tings' first album, 'We Started Nothing' is available now.
