Doomsayers Kings of Leon

3 months ago 30th Aug 09:15

Kings of Leon think the world will end in four years.

The band, who were due to take a break from music, decided to make a new album after headlining the Glastonbury music festival this summer and also because of bassist Jared Followill's sinister prediction.

Frontman Caleb Followill, Jared's brother, said: "I was going to get surgery on my shoulder then go to the beach for six months.

"The only beach I've been to was in Spain when we were playing a festival. We'll sleep when we're dead I guess.

"According to my little brother, Jared, the end of the world is 2012. It's something to do with the Mayans and some calendar ending or something like that. He's a kind of paranoid kid!"

Caleb also revealed the band don't regret returning to the studio earlier than planned because it has brought them closer together.

He added: "We were good friends again on this record for the first time in a while. We had a lot of fun making it and when the workday was finished we went to the bars together and hung out, we were back."
