Barry McGuigan knocked out 'Emmerdale's Adele Silva to become champion of 'Hell's Kitchen' last night (17.09.07).
The former boxing champion was both the diners' and viewers' favourite on the ITV reality show which saw celebrities training under Michelin star chef Marco Pierre White.
Despite coming second, 26-year-old soap star Adele has been flooded with advertising deals worth up to £2 million and may even use the money to open a restaurant of her own.
A source said: "Several companies have come up with ideas for eateries using Adele's name. It's a chance she never thought she'd have. She is in huge demand. The world is her oyster."
Marco, 45, was proud of both finalists, but has a soft spot for feisty blonde Adele.
He said: "Adele has been fantastic. If she wasn't an actress she could definitely become a chef full-time. She is very focused and organised. I think she has what it takes to run her own kitchen."
Last night, saw a close battle between Adele and Barry, 46, who managed to win despite four of his meals being dropped by the maitre de who tripped on a step and skidded on the shepherd's pie he was carrying.
