Bruce Lee's house to be turned into a museum?

2 months ago 05th Jul 00:01

Bruce Lee's former Hong Kong mansion is set to be turned into a museum dedicated to the stars memory.

The martial art's legend, who died in 1973, aged 32, left behind the two-storey home in the suburb of Kowloon and it is now owned by billionaire philanthropist Yu Panglin.

Yu has previously put the property up for sale, but took it off the market after realising the potential of preserving the home.

He insists he will only go ahead with plans to pay tribute to Lee as long as the venture is welcomed by the local community.

Yu says, "I will consider the views of the community and different parties. I may consider donating the property if the majority thinks we should preserve it".

Yu claims he has already turned down an offer of $13 million (£6.5 million) for the house.
