Jessica Simpson feels "really at home" with country music.
The singer - who recently revealed she has no intention of going back to singing pop tracks - says she has finally found her calling with her debut country album, which has yet to be titled, and the first single from the record, 'Come On Over'.
She said: "I've been working on it for the past seven months now and I really feel at home with this music."
The record is also being accepted by professionals in the music industry.
Great American Country TV's Country Music Across America host Storme Warren said: "The country community is accepting of artists who are serious. Jessica has done it right."
Meanwhile, it has been reported Jessica has calmed down, and is a different person than she was when she first became famous.
A source said: "Her entourage grew as her ego grew and then the bubble burst. She realised she lost herself, but now she is starting over."
