Lily Allen says the Olympics are more entertaining than her new album.
The singer has recently completed work on her second album - provisionally titled 'Stuck on the Naughty Step' - but admits record company difficulties have left her unsure when it will be released and says fans should watch sport instead.
Posting on her MySpace page, Lily wrote: "The album - it has been finished for a while now, I don't really know what's going on with it.
"In the meantime there are the Olympics to watch and the football season is starting, which are both far more entertaining [than my album]."
Explaining the difficulties surrounding a release date for the record, Lily added: "The record industry is a very political place at the moment and I am on EMI records. Lots of people have been fired or have taken redundancy recently as the company was taken over by a private equity firm called Terra Firma .
"Many of these people were people assigned to my projects and now I don't quite know what's going on. I'm sure everyone will find their feet soon enough and I'll be able to put the album out soon."
'Stuck on the Naughty Step' is the follow up to the singer's 2006 debut 'Alright, Still'.
