Naomi Campbell has been defending herself after being sentenced to 200 hours community service last month.
The supermodel told the mirror: "I'm not a bad person," refering to the high profile inccident at Heathrow Airport earlier this year whioch landed her in court on charges of assault.
"When people say all these negative things about me, I ignore them," she added, "Let them be negative - but do that away from me. It hurts but I know there is much more good in the world."
Speaking at yje This Day Africa Rising concert, in Abuja, Nigeria, Naomi told the newspaper how old friends like Kate Moss have helped her get through the bad times.
"I am so lucky to have friends like Kate, who are there for me whatever," she said. "Even if we are not on the same continent we support each other. That's what best friends do.".
