Beyonce Knowles is no doubt one of the most gorgeous women in the world and thanks to a little help from her mum her bootylicious style is always the talk of the red carpet.

We look at just how she manages to mix show-stopping glamour and bling with lady-like elegance and class to achieve the ultimate in star style.

Since the days of Destiny's Child Beyonce has always been an independent woman when it comes to what she wears. In the early days her mum Tina used to make all the outifts for the girls to wear on stage.

"We would try and call and get clothes for Destiny's Child and they would be like 'Who is Destiny's Child?' So my mom would have to design the clothes," says Beyonce on E! Entertainment's new Style Star Beyonce show.

"We were trying to make a statement for them to be very different from every other group or girl act that was out there. We did a lot of midriff things, because that was the trend back then," recalls Tina.

And the Tina Knowles exclusives certainly worked when Destiny's Child's style went down a storm with everyone. Their glitzy daring outfits got them noticed everywhere they went and helped spur them on to international stardom.

"One of my favourite outfits was definitely the Grammys," says Beyonce, "It was the year we wore the green dresses and my mother designed them."

These dresses perfectly sum up the style of the multi-platinum selling girl group with each member wearing a different cut of the sparkling emerald green design. Tina and the girl's knew how to make the most of their bodies. My exposing the best features and disguisng the ones they didn't like they could gaurantee they always look fantastic.

"The formula was, I looked at each girl and what I thought their strongest features were," reveals Tina.

It's not rocket science. Every woman has areas of their bodies they are happier with. Making the most of your feel-good features and hiding those wobbly thighs or dinner-ladies arms will instantly make you feel more confident.
