In today's Daily Rap, 50 Cent’s newest venture hits the Top Ten on New York Times List, Ludacris and TI offer financial support for their home city, MoBo Awards happening tonight in Glasgow and Eminem has something to celebrate.
TI and Luda Offer Helping Hand
Two of Atlanta’s most known entertainers, TI and Ludacris have come to the aid of their city after the Georgia city suffered from freak weather conditions last week.
Both rappers have donated personal sums of money to various charities who are coming to the aid of those who were hit by the floods which saw at least ten people killed and hundreds left homeless.
50th Law makes NYT list
Yet another endeavor of acclaimed rapper 50 Cent has proved that there is no stopping the mogul from Jamaica, Queens.
The 50th Law hit the number 5 spot on the Times’ best selling books this week for 50 born Curtis Jackson.
Written in conjunction with Robert Green who penned the 48 Laws of Power, The 50th Law is advice on how to make good business decisions and prove successful in life as well as the board room.
MOBO Awards
A who is who are currently convening north of the border in Glasgow to await the start of the fourteenth annual award show recognizing music of Black origin.
This is the first time the awards have been held in Scotland and a star studded turn out is expected, with performances by JLS, N Dubz, Tinchy Stryder and Chipmunk to name but a few. The host for the event which is set to kick off in little over six hours will be live on BBC 3.
Up for nominations this year are Dizzie Rascal, Semtex, Ras Kwame, Alexandra Burke, Chipmunk, N Dubz, Eminem and Kanye West and more.
Shade 45 Celebrates
Eminem’s radio show Shade 45 will be celebrating its fifth birthday this year and in conjunction with this pivotal mile stone in the history of the Satellite radio show, the man himself will be talking in exclusive interviews with DJ Whoo Kidd and fellow Shade 45 DJ Tony Touch.
Eminem will be giving listeners a sneak peek into his forthcoming album The Relapse 2.
