· Brits top the poll when it comes to romance, but bottom in the length of time spent on foreplay.

· Swedes have the most sexual partners.

· 31% of Germans asked use sex toys.

· Italians most likely to film themselves having sex.

New figures released today reveal that the Brits aren’t having as much sex as their European counterparts. According to new research, the French are getting jiggy with 29% having it 3-4 times per week, 39% of Italians asked are having it twice a week, while Brits (35%) on the other hand, are not even having it once a week.

The survey commissioned by TV channel Virgin1 to support the new documentary ‘The British Suck in Bed’, reveals how the British compare to the Germans, Swedes, French and Italians when it comes to bedroom activities, with some surprising results. Compared to the saucy Swedes where over half (66%) have sex on the first date, Brits lag behind with a prudish 34%, preferring to take things a little more sedately.
