Peter Phillips' Scottish wedding

5 months ago 28th Jan 14:00

Britain's Peter Phillips is set to marry in Scotland.

Peter - the son of Princess Anne and her ex-husband Mark Phillips - and his fiancé Autumn Kelly are said to have chosen the tiny Crathie Kirk church, near the royal family's Balmoral Castle, to hold the nuptials.

The couple are believed to have chosen the church because this is where Anne married for the second time 16 years ago.

The wedding date is as yet unknown, but it has been rumoured Peter's sister Zara will be a bridesmaid, while his cousin Prince William, who Peter is very close to, may be best man.

Peter - Queen Elizabeth's eldest grandchild and eleventh in line to the throne - met Canadian-born Autumn at the Montreal Grand Prix in Montreal four years ago.

It has been claimed Peter, 30, could lose his place in the line of succession to the throne unless his staunchly Catholic fiancée renounces her faith.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman refused to confirm the reports, saying: "Peter Phillips is a private individual and it is not something we wish to comment on."
