Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary joined their fellow royals for the traditional summer photo call at Grasten Palace.
The pair were seen laughing and joking as they posed with their 19-month-old son Christian and his three-month-old sister Isabella.
Mary, 35, wore a 1950s inspired flower-print dress and wedge heels as she played with her children during the shoot at the royal summer residence in southern Denmark.
The Hello! website reports that during an animated exchange she was also seen pointing at Frederik's slim physique and laughing.
Queen Margrethe was spotted at one point perched on palace steps with her new granddaughter Isabella on her knee.
Frederik's brother Prince Joachim and his sons Nikolai, seven, and Felix, five, were unable to attend the photo call as he was in Copenhagen for the city's Historic Grand Prix.
Joachim is the patron of the race, which sees more than 200 cars hurtling through Denmark's capital city.
