Britain's Prince Harry's godfather has died after suffering a heart attack.
Gerald Ward, a close friend of Harry's father Prince Charles, collapsed on the first tee at Britain's Sunningdale Golf Club while taking part in a charity tournament yesterday (23.09.08).
The 70-year-old former army officer was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics who arrived in an air ambulance.
A source said: "It seems he was part of a foursome that just teed off when he collapsed clutching his chest. Staff and players rushed to resuscitate him but it was too late.

"His team abandoned the game but other participants continued to play saying that was what he would have wanted."
Harry was informed of Gerald's death after he had finished exercises with his Blues and Royals battalion at an undisclosed location.
Gerald, who was also an officer in the Household Cavalry, paid close attention to Harry's army career.
