Britain's Princes William and Harry are not offended by the use of their late mother Princess Diana's image in the trailer for new film 'The Duchess'.
Dominic Cooper, who plays future Prime Minister Charles Grey in the film, says the royals did not mention the promotional clip - which refers to the film's main character Georgiana's being a distant relation of the princess - when he met them recently.
The trailer shows images of both Diana - who died tragically in a car crash in 1997 - and the duchess, with a caption saying: "The two were related by ancestry and united by destiny. History repeats itself."
Speaking at the world premiere of the film at London's Leicester Square last night (03.09.08), Cooper said: "I was out with them last night and they didn't mention it. They didn't say anything about it all."
The two were related by ancestry and united by destiny. History repeats itself.
Meanwhile, Amanda Foreman, author of the book 'Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire' which the film is based on, said she hopes the use of Diana's image in the marketing does not draw attention away from Georgiana.
She said: "I just don't want Georgiana herself to be overshadowed. She was the most celebrated woman of her age and I don't believe she needs help from any woman for her own greatness to come out."
