Britain's Princess Michael of Kent has made more than £8,000 from her household junk sale.
The royal, the wife of Queen Elizabeth's first cousin, sold her mansion for £5.75 million earlier this year and she decided to auction off the contents to amass an even bigger fort
une.
The majority of the items were unwanted junk, including broken ornaments and a guitar case with a fake crocodile skin lining.
However, auctioneers were surprised that many goods were sold for well above the asking price.
British TV presenter and antique expert David Dickinson said: "There are items here that are clearly from an attic, from where the Royal Highness was living - but the bids have astounded me.
"A bottle of Bolly that I don't think you could drink with naff glasses went for over £100.
