The daughter of Britain's Princess Michael of Kent has split from the man she was tipped to marry.
Princess Michael - nicknamed 'Princess Pushy' - is said to be sorely disappointed that Lady Gabriella Windsor decided to end her three-year relationship with Indian-born writer Aatish Taseer.
The princess even once described her daughter's 25-year-old suitor as "the most handsome man she has ever met."
Gabriella, 25, called time on her romance after deciding she was not ready to move to India to be with Aatish.
A source told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "Aatish very much wanted her to go back with him to India but she wants to stay in Britain and pursue her writing career here. So they have very sadly decided to go their separate ways."
The young royal met Aatish - the son of a wealthy Sikh mother and Pakistani newspaper proprietor father - while doing an internship at Vanity Fair magazine in New York.
At the time, Gabriella was a student at Brown University in Rhode Island, while Aatish had just finished a degree in nearby Amherst College.
