Jordan's Queen Rania has praised new children's cartoon, 'Ben and Izzy', for promoting tolerance.
The monarch has been spreading a message of inter-faith understanding and tolerance during a four-day trip to the US.
At the launch of 'Ben and Izzy', she said: "This cartoon uses a language that modern children understand - a language that unites them, whatever their background or beliefs, and makes them realise that you don't have to be alike to get along."
The animated show features two 11-year-old boys, one American and the other Arab, who travel through time to experience different cultures.
Her majesty is quoted by the Jordan Star newspaper as saying: "Whether we are Muslims, Christians or Jews. whether we live in the Middle East or the Upper West Side. we all want our children to be able to make the most of their potential in a secure, peaceful and just world."
Earlier that evening, Rania attended a Times magazine party to honour the 100 most influential people in 2006.
The monarch and her husband King Abdullah were selected as one of the most powerful couples this year.
