Queen Rania's child's play

20-04-2007 13:00

Jordan's Queen Rania visited a children's museum on Wednesday (18.04.07)

The royal appeared just as excited as the 150 children who were also invited to tour the country's first ever interactive museum for kids.

Rania took part in the museum's numerous activities - aimed at inspiring children's imagination and interest.

The queen - who is a mother of four herself - donned a plastic apron to have a go at painting a water colour.

She also joined the children in the centre's Ancient Times area where they dug in sand for artefacts, before turning their hands to a spot of pottery artwork.

The museum - which features over 150 exhibits on themes ranging from humankind, technology and the natural world - opens to the public next month.

Rania, 36, was happy to take part in a preview of what the unique museum has to offer and posed for photographs with the excited children.
