Britain's Zara Phillips refused to wear sexy horse-riding gear for her Jack Vettriano portrait.
The renowned painter wanted the royal equestrian champion to pose in jodhpurs sitting on a haystack, but Zara had other ideas and told him in no uncertain terms what she would be wearing.
Vettriano said: "I had this vision of her sitting on a haystack or a pile of hay with a white blouse on that was slightly open, with jodhpurs and stuff, you know very sexy.
"That was my fantasy and I suggested that over the telephone, but she said, 'No, everybody wants to see me like that. I'll tell you what I'll wear.'
"I said, 'What about a little black number?' and she said, 'No, I'll tell you. I'll be wearing black jeans and a black top.' "
Vettriano, who painted Zara in her approved clothes sitting in a chair draped with a Union Jack flag, explained he was not used to models refusing his requests.
The 56-year-old artist added to Britain's 'This Morning' TV show: "I generally am able to say to models, 'This is what I want, I want you in a basque,' but she wouldn't have it."

Too bad. It would have been great if Zara got them out. Nice portrait though.
