Chris Tarrant may quit 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire'.

The quiz show host - who has presented the British show since it started in 1998 – has hinted he might leave the ITV1 programme next year.

He said: "I'm still doing Millionaire until 2010, so we've had a pretty good run with that."

I'm still doing Millionaire until 2010, so we've had a pretty good run with that.

Chris, 62, is currently presenting new game show 'The Colour of Money' - which launched on ITV1 last Saturday (21.02.09) – and is reportedly being flooded with new job offers all the time.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Chris only has a contract on Millionaire that runs up until next year. We don't exactly have a crystal ball – who can tell what will happen? Chris is constantly being offered new projects."

The programme has been in a renewed spotlight since the film 'Slumdog Millionaire' - which is based around the story of a contestant on the Indian version of the show - won eight Oscars on Sunday (22.02.09).

Chris recently said: "It was surreal to see Slumdog. It's a great film.

Referring to the film's plot he added: "But I have to say, I have never taken any contestant to the toilet!"

'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' originated in the United Kingdom, but has gone on to become one of the most popular gameshows of all time, and localised versions are broadcast in over 70 countries worldwide.
