Heather Mills has been forced to glue her false leg in place.
The ex-wife of Sir Paul McCartney feared she might be forced to quit 'Dancing On Ice' following ongoing problems with her prosthetic leg, until the show's physio came up with a novel idea to keep it secure while she waits for a new socket to be made.
She tweeted: "Thanks it will take a week to get it so thank goodness for clever Sharon, Chris and Jayne's physio she came up with glue idea xx."
Heather has had several problems with her false limb - which is fitted at the knee on her left leg - since she started training for the dance show, causing her to lose weight.
Thanks it will take a week to get it so thank goodness for clever Sharon, Chris and Jayne's physio she came up with glue idea xx.
This has, in turn, caused her false limb to become loose, meaning she has had to be measured for a third new socket.
At present, Heather is waiting to find out if her socket will be ready in time to allow her to compete on this weekend's show.
She tweeted last night (02.02.10): "Just finished my leg socket fitting, fingers crossed should be ready by Thursday for a fun skate Sun. Love your support Thankyou so much hxx (sic)
"I'll know Thursday on the ice, but it's looking good thanks x (sic)"
Heather has faced problems with her stump rubbing against her leg, leaving her in tremendous pain, and has had trouble with her false limb becoming detached during training, fortunately, she has found a lot of the incidents "hysterical".
She said: "Matt was talking, he was saying, 'Just bloomin' move woman' when my leg was slipping out, it was hysterical Hxxx (sic)"
