Roxanne McKee's New Year's resolution is to "follow your dreams".

The 'Hollyoaks' actress - who left the Channel 4 soap in an explosive storyline this Christmas - is keen to make 2009 as successful a year as 2008.

She said: "I always make the same New Year's resolution - to be fit, healthy and follow your dreams. And the first two always fall by the wayside by about January 3!"

She added: It was a big family affair with turkey and all the trimmings

Roxanne - who is engaged to entrepreneur Gary Sewell - also revealed how she spent her Christmas.

She added: "It was a big family affair with turkey and all the trimmings. And plenty of Thorntons chocolates. I saw friends, too. I love Christmas. It's just the best time, getting up knowing you've got a huge dinner and presents to look forward to!"

When asked what she found in her Christmas stocking, Roxanne cheekily replied: "Johnny Depp and a satsuma!"
