'This Morning's longest serving experts fear they will be axed in the programme's planned shakeup.
Dr Chris Steele and agony aunt Denise Robertson have both been regulars on the show since it began 20 years ago, but both admit they now face being dropped.
Chris said he got a call confirming the news up to ten of the show's resident experts could be axed.
I have loved every minute of the show and if I do not do another one I will look back on 20 great years in TV. But I really hope I carry on.
The General Practitioner - who appears once a week on the ITV flagship show - said: "I have loved every minute of the show and if I do not do another one I will look back on 20 great years in TV. But I really hope I carry on."
Denise, who also has a regular slot on the show, was more shocked by the news.
She said: "I didn't know anything about it, it is news to me. But nobody ever considers they are a permanent fixture of anything in television."
Chris, 63, did however say his call, from the boss of daytime programming at ITV, was "reassuring".
ITV has said that following the announcement of the departure of co-host Fern Britton from the show, they are undertaking a "root and branch" review of the show.
