Verity Rushworth says growing up on 'Emmerdale' gave her a brilliant education.
The 23-year-old actress - who has played Donna Windsor/Dingle in the popular ITV soap for 11 years - will soon appear in her final scenes, but claims she has learnt more on the soap's set than she ever would have at school.
She said: "I've worked with some of the most talented actors in the business. I've learnt more than I could ever have done in the classroom. It's been the happiest time of my life.
There's an opportunity to have her return full of confidence, having lived in the real world for a while
"I don't want to look back and have only done one job all my life. Being an actress means you try to be as many different characters as you can."
However, Verity - who can be seen starring in musical 'Hairspray' from February 2 at London's Shaftesbury Theatre - hasn't ruled out a return to 'Emmerdale' if producers decide not to kill her character off.
She said: "Donna is one of those characters you could bring back as a completely changed person. There's an opportunity to have her return full of confidence, having lived in the real world for a while. Or maybe she could come back as a b***h to rock things up a bit!"
