The team profiles a serial killer who has been taking families hostage in their own homes.
Everyone at the BAU is delighted when Hotch’s wife (Meredith Monroe, ‘Dawson’s Creek’) brings in the couple’s newborn daughter for a visit.
But the cheerful atmosphere doesn’t last long, as the team receive reports of a horrifying crime.
A Maryland family, the Crawfords, have been slaughtered in their home.
The mother and two children have been stabbed, and the father has been shot in the head.
Local police have concluded that it is a murder-suicide, but the BAU team aren’t so sure – the crime looks eerily similar to another family slaying that took place a month ago.
The prime suspect in the first case, the murders of the Miller family, is Eric Miller (Tony Todd, ‘Candyman’, ‘The Rock’), the ex-husband who is known to have been violent in the home.
