The BAU team races against the clock to find the whereabouts of a kidnapped undercover FBI agent.
The agent is being held captive by a psychopathic serial killer who has been working as a hitman for the Mafia.
The team is called to the scene of an apparent double homicide at a home in Baltimore, Maryland.
Local cops have removed the bodies from the bathtub, but due to the quantity of blood still present, Gideon realises that there must have been a third body dumped and subsequently moved by the killer.
His hunch is proved correct when the team make a grisly discovery: a third, dismembered corpse in some rubbish bags.
The agents are baffled, as many of the forensic details of the third murder make it look like the work of a hitman – but why would a professional recklessly dismember a body for no good reason?
Does this murderer kill for sadistic pleasure or for pay?
