Danielle Lloyd was dumped by lover Jermaine Defoe because she wanted a dog.
The former 'Celebrity Big Brother' star reportedly suggested the couple buy a pet pooch together, prompting football star Jermaine to ditch her for being "too serious".
A source said: "She wanted one of those Paris Hilton-style mutts you can carry around with you, but he turned around and told her 'It's over.' It says a lot about his priorities."
Danielle and Jermaine split earlier this month amid rumours he was cheating on her with two other women.
The pair first got together last year after he ended his two-year relationship with Danielle's friend Charlotte Mears.
However, since splitting from Danielle Jermaine has been spotted out on the town with Charlotte, prompting rumours the pair are an item again.
At the weekend Jermaine and ex-fiancée Charlotte were pictured leaving London nightclub Embassy together.
