David Tennant hasn't wasted any time in getting over Billie Piper - and getting intimate with his new travelling companion.

David will kiss Freema Agyeman, who replaces Billie as the Doctor's new assistant, Martha, in the very first episode of the new series of 'Doctor Who'.

Freema said: "One minute I was working behind the desk at Blockbusters, the next I'd landed the role of Martha. And before I knew it I had been transported to the moon and was faced with the prospect of kissing the Doctor!"

The Doctor has a history of steamy on-screen clinches with his assistants. David and Billie shared a kiss in the last series of the sci-fi drama, and Billie also locked lips with the previous Doctor, Christopher Ecclestone.

The third series of 'Doctor Who' starts on Saturday 31st March on BBC1.
