Love Island - Calum Talks About Rape Allegations

16-10-2006 13:29

According to the latest tabloids, Love Island's Calum Best has been talking about being quizzed by the police after allegations of rape.

Calum was reportedly seized out of his bed by police after a female alleged she had been raped.

The reality TV star has divulged to the paper of his "shock" at the suggestions.

And he believes the girl told police his name to take advantage of his celebrity status - despite not being in the room where she accused the assault by a group of men occured.

He's quoted as saying in the Daily Star: He said: "It’s unfair my name was used when it had nothing to do with me, because this is a very serious allegation."

He's also apparently said to a business colleague: "I was shocked and very upset when the police called. I just couldn’t believe it. There’s no way I would ever get involved in anything like that.

"It was a very frightening – and embarrassing – experience. I could have been arrested when I hadn’t even done anything wrong.
