'Coronation Street's Gail McIntyre will be suspected of murder when her new husband's insurance scam goes wrong.
Cash-strapped character Joe McIntyre, played by Reece Dinsdale, will tell his wife about his plan to fake his own death while the couple are enjoying a romantic boat trip in the Lake District over Valentine's Day (14.02.10).
According to actress Helen Worth, who plays Gail, Joe believes faking his own death as an insurance scam is the only way out of his financial problems.
She explained: "He says he'll pretend to have drowned while out on the boat, then she'll have to report him missing. Meanwhile he'll have rowed to safety and headed for a port to leave the country.
When no body is found he'll eventually be pronounced dead and she can claim the life insurance money.

Gail is horrified by the idea and they couple have a huge row about it, leading Joe to dump her on the jetty and take the boat out on his own.
However, Joe's plan fails when he's knocked out of the boat by its boom and into the icy water where he drowns.
Gail is horrified when Joe fails to return the next morning and assumes he's gone ahead with his disappearing act anyway, leaving her behind.
Panicking, she calls her son David (Jack P Shepherd) who helps her search for her husband, but to no avail.
The mother and son then concoct a cover story that Joe has been offered work in Cumbria and are horrified when Joe's dead body is eventually found
Helen added: "Gail's not a natural liar and she's really struggling to keep it together. When the body is found she'll be shocked, devastated, and when the body is found, under suspicion of murder."
