1. You can save a fortune, feel healthier and look ten times more radiant by swapping cigerettes for savings. Get rid of your twenty a day habit and you’ll have saved over £1200 in the year leading up to your wedding. That’s enough to buy you a seriously stylish dress.
2. You can live without the average morning coffee which costs just under £2. Why not swap it for a cuppa at home, or a flask of home-made coffee, and you’ve saved £40 a month. Over a year that’s nearly £500.
3. Why not have a good old-fashioned spring clean, getting rid of any unwanted household bric-a-brac that’s taking up valuable cupboard space: not only will you be making room for all your lovely shiny new wedding presents, but you can sell all your unwanted belongings.
4. Shopping lists based on meal plans rather than filling your supermarket trolley on autopilot can save you a fortune on grocery bills. Ditto when it comes to other types of shopping: only shop for what you need; don’t just shop for entertainment.
5. Exercise doesn’t have to mean splashing out on a swanky gym membership. Find your nearest park or other green space and start walking or running… for free. If you’ve got other bride-to-be-buddies nearby, exercise together. It’s a great motivational tool as well as a fantastic opportunity for a regular wedding chin-wag.
